I plan to be buried in the same clothes that I was born in. They'll probably be pretty wrinkly after wearing them for so many years, I've washed them a few times but I've never ironed them. (Ouch!) I'm wondering if God or anyone in heaven is going to mind. I figure that it will make for one more outfit to donate to Goodwill or the Salvation Army and since some people have told me that where I'm actually going to end up is pretty 'damned' warm, I figure there's no point in bringing along any more clothes than are absolutely necessary.
But seriously, have you ever considered for yourself or do you know of anyone who was buried nude? Covered only with a white sheet and perhaps only with face and arms showing during the funeral and visitation? Novel? Interesting? Disgusting? Preverted? Demented?

Actually, this question is not about heaven or hell as all, but only about the notion of being buried nude. The wording of the question and the whole first paragraph were an attempt to get your attention and keep it from getting lost in the stack of questions as new ones are posted.

In the Islamic practice of burial, the dead are "Covered only with a white sheet and perhaps only with face and arms showing during the funeral and visitation". We don't need to wear clothes when buried, that is a waste of clothing, God created Adam with no clothing, Adam was in heaven with no clothing, and then God made eve. We need clothing to prevent Satan from enticing us to engage in fornication/adultery.
Logically it is evil for people to get buried, wearing expensive clothes in expensive caskets, what makes them more special than Adam? Throughout history grave yards have been overwhelmed by the number of graves, that they have had to resort to mass-graves or demolish the grave yard and build a new one. If you truly believe in resurrection, then you shouldn't waste so much money and time planning a funeral, more often people care more about people when they die than when they are living, maybe because of this stupid culture of idolizing the dead, by giving them extravagant burials. Adam was buried in an unmarked grave in a cave, all his descendants should follow his humble example, it would save a lot of time, money, space, and resources.

If it turns out that you can bring clothes to your final destination, and you think you're going to the really warm place, you should at least bring a protective nut cup...

You must be really short to be burried in the clothes you were born in... (thinking baby clothes here).
If you believe that we have bodies in Heaven, but the old saying "you can't take it with you" really does mean that you can't take it with you...

I don't believe that we will be in human form in heaven. Our body will stay here along with whatever we chose, or don't chose, to be buried in. You can't take it with you
