My boyfriend and I were playing basketball with his friend and one of my girlfriends.. My boyfriend was pressuring me to win, when I wasn't even that good in basketball and he knows it. But- then, we lost. And he was pissed off, and he just went off to go watch his friends play volley ball. He never does this- is he dissapointed in me? Do I have to meet his expectations? Why can't he accept that we lost one game, and it's not the end of the world?

Tell you boyfriend that the guy that is with you needs to be always proud of this fact. If he wants a trophy girl than go get one that you have many talents and having fun winning or not is just one very small thing about you, in other words you don't need to be competitive your secure enough with yourself.
If he acts like that again tell him you won't play his games, lol no pun intended.

Your boyfriend is probably very competitive and turns everything into a game. I too am like this and it's not that we are disappointed in others, but more ourselves. Kind of like what more could I have done. Later in life I've learned to control these feelings and only let it show once in a while. It can hurt others when you don't mean to....

He needs to get a life. BTW, if he gets all hacked off about something as minor as that, how upset is he likely to get about something important? Yes, he's disappointed in you. Yes, apparently you do have to meet his expectations. He can't accept that you lost a game ???? He's small minded? He's immature at best and warped at worst.

I think your bf's attitude sucks. He knew from the start you are not at your best at this game..and you lost.So what??He needs to grow up and realize its just a game, nothing more, nothing less.
I guess he is dissapointed he lost and is taking his frustration out on you.If I were you I'd let him be for a while, you did absolutely nothing wrong here!!

Maybe he was just stressed out. If it's been a day or two & he hasn't talked to you, i'd have to sit down & have a little chat with him. lol. Seriously, he don't need to get all mad at something as small as that, that shouldn't matter.

I don't want to hurt You feelings but...I think he's just looking for anything You do that he considers wrong to hurt You and make You feel bad...You can do better than that for yourself..he's not a very nice person.

.He is selfish, poor loser, I would lose him, because if you would happen to marry him, you don't know the half of it. You want dress, eat, chew, walk right because he will contradict everything you do and put you down . Lose Him fast., he'll make you a nervous wreck.

if this guy gets angry at you and mean over a silly game then how is he going to treat you when something important goes his way this is a sure sign that its time to run.
