Yes-the transfer is easy. I transfered State Guard units and a friend of mine transfered from Reserve to Guard. Look for IST (interstate transfer) NCO or recruiting/retention NCO for details. You'll have to turn in all current/losing unit gear (because gaining unit can't just take it on their books, and in your case, it will be different branch so different gear), and one or two forms have to be filled out. It helps if you check with gaining unit for a line and block chart position you're already MOSq'd in, too.
Even if you're in a "critical MOS" in your losing unit, don't let them try to buffalo you into thinking you can't transfer.

If you're already in the US Army Reserves and in a unit, you would have to talk to your 1st Sgt and Company Commander about this. They would be better qualified to
tell you what to do.

It's pretty easy, go talk to an Air Reserve recruiter they will handle all of the details for you.
