My dear....first of all I am not a Christian. So I do not know the details of his birth.
But one thing I know that persons who are respected as God or Godlike, must have got some contribution towards mankind. These persons may not belong to a very rich family or may not be highly educated, But they are different from common people because of their wisdom, philosophy, mentality, sacrifice etc. which normally reflected in their deeds.
It is not actualy the process of his birth or origin by which the belief is established.
There are people who can say a lot about the role of every human in mankind in this creation. But, a few of them has the ability to follow heir own sayings. And a very few out of them are able to make others feel what is God.
So, although it is hard to define Godly qualities but, belief comes only after the expression of quality in one and not by the origin.
Now, a bit about Mary and Joseph, I may tell you one thing. Of course Mary had a baby before marriage, but neither her nor Joseph's intentions can be judged unfair if they had married to give the child a good recognition. So, she was a mother and he was a father in real sense.
I feel it.

Jesus is NOT just a profit. He was both man and God. Mary married Joseph because during that time, a woman who was pregnant outside of marriage was either a whore or an adulterer both of which was cause to stone her to death outside the city walls. If she had been stoned to death, the Messiah could not have been born. Further, a woman was property then. She could not hold a job and make money for her family. She would have had no way of supporting herself and Jesus unless she had a husband or her father was willing to take them in but that was a shame on the family.

What noone has mentioned thus far and what I will mention is this....... Do you think God cant make it possible for a virgin girl to become pregnant? Is He not God of all and creater of heaven and earth......So, Yes it is possible for Mary to be pregnant with Jesus without having slept with a man because God brought the Holy Spirit upon her to pregnate her with Jesus His own son.

About marrying Joseph.......Joseph wasnt gonna marry Mary......He was scared and upset to find out she was with child and didnt know what to think, but it was an Angel sent by God unto Joseph in a dream that let him know it was ok for him to take Mary as his wife. Because He now knew it was of God that she was pregnant and because He loved Mary He took her as his wife.

I think God knew she would need the support of Joseph because just like people in today times the people of then didnt believe she was carrying the Son of God and probably acted or told her she was crazy even though she knew the truth...which was she was carrying the Only Begotten Son of the most High God. Also because it was part of God's plan for them to marry. That in my opinion is why Mary and Joseph still ended up married.

By the way.....Jesus was God in the flesh.....it says in the bible " That Light came into the world, but the world recognized Him not" its the same today Jesus came into this world all that time ago to save us by dieing on that cross and the world neither recieved him nor recognized Him" In todays world so many still dont know Him or arent willing to recieve Him as Lord and savior, but no matter what Jesus Christ is the son of God .......Praise His name for saving this sinner and washing me clean........by His blood I am saved!

I agree 100%, I feel that Jesus was just a prophet, spreading a message.

Now time for Christians to crucify me but, I bet Jesus was Mary and Joseph's son, nothing more.

Who honestly believes that Mary was and stayed a virgin after marrying Joseph...come on now. An arranged marriage or not, it's not natural.

Jesus is God and man and he needed an earthly father to guide him. God gave His only Son to Joseph and Mary to bring Him up according to the Jewish traditions until He was old enough to start the Father's mission among His peoples. Roman Catholics believe that Jesus is God and Son, and He HImself said so. You can find this in the Gospel according to John. Jesus comes to the people from God and returns to Him when He resurrects. Jesus is the Way, the Light, the Life and i is only through Him that man can find God the Father.

Joseph was going to dissolve the marriage contract, perhaps believing that Mary had been sexually abused, and was pregnant by such abuse. He didn't want to be blamed for her "condition", when they BOTH knew he wasn't the father of the baby. The other alternative would have been to have her publicly condemned as an adulteress, and stoned to death.

After Joseph had made his decision (quiet divorce), he was also visited by an angel (Gabriel). The angel commanded Joseph to take Mary home as his own wife, for she was innocent of sexual immorality, and had not been raped. The baby she was carrying was Holy, and Joseph (the direct decendent of King David ) would have the responsibility of raising the young Messiah.

But Mary was a virgin at Christs birth!
to deny that, you must also Deny this:

Matt 17
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased ; hear ye him.

do you not then deny God!

Please do not damn your own soul because a lack of belief(Faith) and your blaspheming God.

"damned" was found 3 times in 3 verses in the New Testament.

Mark 16:16 - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Romans 14:23 - And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

2 Thessalonians 2:12 - That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
