Actually, I would start before going into the pool. Since dry hair will absorb the chemicals in pool water, you may want to try spraying a leave-in hair conditioner into your hair. It will make your hair wet, so that by the time you get into the pool, the hair won't absord as much chemicals as it would dry. Then, once you get out of the pool and have washed it, I would again put in a leave-in conditioner to make it soft and brushable.

Wear a swimming cap. Some people I know also put conditioner in their hair before going swimming.

Wear a bathing cap, otherwise the chlorine in the pool will damage your hair by drying it out. Sorry, but that's really your only alternative. There are no magic products out there to do the trick.

go to target buy a perm kit and have someone perm your hair for you. or wear a swimming cap.

if your going to swimm cover it up because you have to rinse your hair evrytime you swim which is bad for our hair. Or don't perm get some braids need help finding someone email me i will help you with out spending to much money Naycole@netzero.com

Use a very good fitting swimming cap. and underneath that use a shower cap.

have you tried putting conditioning oil on before you swim? i know they look daft, but swimming caps are the best way.

Try buying a product called "vitapoint" i think wella might make it. its a conditioner that you spray on, its leaves your hair very shiney and well conditioned.

i have a black girlfriend and she just puts grease and oil in her hair before swimming......then puts a cap on.....and yeahh ... hopefully that helps

Probably because it isn't permed - it's probably naturally curly.
