Bi polar is a person that has sudden drastic changes in personality. For example one moment they are blissfully happy and an instant later they are extremly depressed.

The current mental disorder of the day. Like ADD the last few years there seems to be an increased number of people being "diagnosed" with this disease. Also like ADD there if no definitive test to confirm the diagnosis. Be skeptical. There are pressures on mental health professionals to make a diagnosis of a disease, it maintains insurance payments and the drug companies get to sell, sell , sell.
On the other hand there are people with this disease, their lives and their families lives can be devastated.
IMHO If the person being diagnosed is under 25 years of age, be very very skeptical. Get 2nd opinions.

From what I understand, patient suffers from various mental disorders. My husband was diagnosed with this. Depression, hear voices,suicidal, panic disorder. It is alot. I looked it up on line also. Hope this helps.

( manic depression, i tend to avoid ppl like that cuz one never knows if one has had their "meds" or will flip out. Mentally ill ppl are unstable and i am not comfortable with them...

It is a horrible mental disease..It can destroy your life. I would never wish it on my worst friend
