When girls are old enough to date?My daughter is 13 and she has a boyfriend.They are sexual active and sometimes they do sex at home,because the boy's parents wouldn't allow him to do sex.I am not going to stop my daughter but just wander about other people's mind.And one more thing - don't you think it's better to HELP children with their choices instead of pulling from them promises(like "I promise I won't do sex") which they won't follow?

At 13 she is already a teenager.If she has period,she is ready for sex.The other question is if she is mentally ready for sex but Ithink she is if she does it often.Yes,you are right you have to be near the girl so if something goes wrong,you could help her.If she gets pregnant you canhelp her.Imagine what a shock would it be for you if you didn't even know she is sexual active!I think it's the best if you and the child share your thoughts and help each-other.

13 is way to young of kids to be having sex!!! I should know!!! I was young when I started and it didn't get me anywhere!!! I had my first kid at 16!!! Now I am 22 and I have 3; I wish I would have been smarter because I wanted to go to college before taking on more responsibility's!!! I am now a student at a college and I am a full time mother and it is hard! But I am hanging in there... at that age they are not mature enough to be in volved in sexual activities.. if she were to get pregnant neither of them would be capable of supporting the baby! They are not even old enough to work! They are not old enough to make right decisions or to be responsible enough to protect them selves. I do understand where you are coming from about "helping" them... It is better to be involved in their choices then to try and stop them because you almost have two choices... 1. you refuse to let them... when they are going to do it anyways when you could help educate them in being careful etc or 2. you could be involved in getting her on birth control so she don't end up pregnant. A hard choice. You should get her on birth control and maybe even get them into some type of program that will teach them the responsibility's of becoming a parent... that way maybe they will realize that isn't what they want at such a young age. But still in reality it is not right for "children" of that are to be having sex!!! Maybe you should analize the friends she has... they could be the ones who are influncing them! I would NEVER let my kids have sex at an early age.... and if I have say I would want them to wait till they are married!

what type of parent are you I would never let my 13 year old daughter have sex. I hope shes on the pill and there using some sort of protection unless your ready to support a grandchild or daughter with hiv or std i think there old enough to date ad ave sex when there old enough to work and drive

The state needs to step in and judge your mental state and competency as a mother. You are not there to condone or provide a place for your CHILD to have sex. You should be there to provide guidance. I'm sure this boys parents would LOVE to know you are knowingly providing a place for their LITTLE BOY to potentially become a father at 14. Please do yourself and your daughter a favor and take some parenting classes. Sex is not an appropriate pasttime for 13 year olds.

I'm so THANKFUL my parents did not allow me to date until 17!!!! So many young kids nowadays getting pregnant when they are in school, have no jobs, cannot support themselves or the baby. If I was her bf's parents' I would be so upset with you! You are NOT helping your young child at all! That's the same excuse parents' who buy their kids cigs or alcohol - oh they'd do it anyways so let's help them. Unbelievable! I'm so glad my parents actually took the nonlazy way out and decided to educate me about the dangers of these activities. I grew up educated and having self-respect. I really hope to goodness your daugther doesn't get pregnant. I feel bad for her.

I personally think that your daughter is too young to be sexually active, but if you are not going to presuade her not to have sex then You need to talk to them both about safe sex, and ask them if they are prepaired to become parents and take care of a baby if your daughter becomes preganent and get you daughter on birth control pills. And be preapaired that she probably will get preganent.
I dont agree with you for letting her be sexually active, I think it is that you just dont want to make her mad at you or look uncool to her. You are the parent and it is up to you to shape her futuer. And if she gets preganent it is you who is responsable for it..,

13? Where are you from? You need some help from the state! If you are allowing your 13 year old daughter to have sex in your house, that's neglect. 16 or 17 year olds who experiment are a big enough problem, but actually facilitating it yourself? 13 YEARS OLD? ARE YOU CRAZY?

whoa... im 13, i had boyfriend's, but sex never ever crossed my mind. 13 is way too young, i dont want to sounds like a preachers daughter or anything but i'd wait for marriage until that. in short, you have clearly lost your mind about letting ur child have sex at such a young age.

My kids will not be allowed to date until 17, and we are raising them to respect themselves, their bodies, and their future spouses not to have sex until marriage. Your daughter is playing a very dangerous game, and you are helping her. The "well, they're going to do it anyway" is B.S. It is possible to raise children with morals. My parents did, and so am I. But then again, the children can only model the morals their parents teach them...

you're sick!! letting a 13 year old have sex. you should beat the **** out of her and make her stay away from him. she should only be having sex when she's responsible enough to deal with std's, aids, pregnancy, and taking excellent care of a baby. you better hope that she's using a condom. her "boyfriend" is probably forcing her to have sex and not use a condom.
