Can they get psychic diseases??? i am not too sure what you mean by "psychic"....they can get any diseases we can get...disease strikes all people...i have always thought because the Catholic church does not ALLOW their priests to have sex that is setting them up for failure....(The church has enough problems as it is with people now leaving the church because they don't believe their ways...and the molesters...eek!! that's another issue...) But they are in trouble...and that is the way it is....Plus it is all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!...and that is not right...But it is what it is..

NO, a person doesn't need sex. A priest is suppose to be on a higher level with god, and just to let you know, the catholic church rules actually state married couples should have sex only to produce children, not for enjoyment.

a repression of energy can make you somatize some diseases but it depends on the person, true priests dont have those urges (i think)

if a man really goes without sex,he could be more prone to prostate cancer.i don't know if it would cause mental/emotional problems.obviously quite a few priests aren't really celibate

They can get other physical diseases besides STD's. Such as cancer. Not all diseases are STD's.
