If you go to a website and download font, how do you use it? Whenever i download font off of a site, it just gives me some page with like...writing all over it. I don't know how to use the font.

Sounds like your browser is displaying the font file instead of downloading it. Right click the link to the font file on the website and select "Save target as" from the context menu. Save the file to C:\Windows\Fonts. Any fonts in that folder will be available for you to use.
