I know a mac has PAGES and KEYNOTE but dont we PC users have anything else besides ms office? the best alternative anyone? anything from corel or adobe?

There's a free program called OpenOffice that fills many of the roles of Word and PowerPoint. You can read about it or download it here:

The best alternative is OpenOffice.org 2.03. It's open source project and it's free. It have all features as MS Office 2003 and much more.
