No party is complete without metallic palm tree monkey picks:

Or if you don't like monkeys (and who doesn't?), you might prefer pink flamingos:
http://www.orientaltrading.com/application?namespace=browse&origin=catalogProducts.jsp&event=link.itemDetails&demandPrefix=12&sku=34/326&mode=Browsing&erec=40&vap=true&sp=true&Ntk=all&Ntx=mode%252bmatchallpartial&N=377383&sd=PLASTIC+FLAMINGO+PICKS+%286DZ%29
Go to either of those Web pages, then go up a level and you'll find orchid picks, fish picks, and more.
Aloooooooooooooooha!

Get a box of those frilly toothpics from a party store. To dress them up, put an olive or other food-type garnish on them before sticking it in the appetizers or sandwiches. Also, those little cocktail umbrellas could be festive!

Boy, life's tough, aint it. BTW, I'm writing this from the waiting room of a children's intensive care unit, where they've had my daughter for 5 days, following complications from surgery.

try those cute little swords that bartenders put cheeries and orange wedges on!! or maybe they'll have some fun ideas at the party store.
p.s. check foodnetwork.com. they'll have ideas, too, i'm sure.
