After my fiance was incarcarated, I decided to move to another state to be with family (my cousins ) It has been 11 days since i have been here and I can't regret it anymore. Everyone is very judgemental of him and sneaky in a where if I confide in them they tell other family members. My mom told me to act as though she is not alive if I choose to be with him. This is a very rough time in my life and I feel myself going through a rollacoaster of emotions.

My guess is mostly your family feels like they are looking out for your best interests. They are doing their best to be supportive even if their choices are not elegant.
Appreciate that and accept it in that context.

That being said, know that it's a rollercoaster for you because it's all new. It'll settle down in a bit and you'll acclimate to your new environment.

Ultimately the choices are yours.

Did he get caught stealing a car or did he shoot someone dead? Jail time will probably change him, consider that too.

While they think they are helping you by humiliating you, they are obviously only pushing you away from them and closer to him.

They are trying to remind you that you can do better than settling for someone who will find himself behind bars. They should sit down with you and have a heart-felt talk about how you could be messing up your life, and you can find an honest man who knows how to stay out of trouble, but instead they are using a repelling method.

You moved to another state perhaps to get over him, or at least get away from him, so once he is out of the picture, they will move on emotionally. But, if you decide to stay with him, and he knocks the crap out of you, they will say "I told you so!"

Dear Confused,

Mom is always right!!! Listen to her. DO not cut a tie with such bond for a man. He obviously has problems and youy need to get over this and start new. Good Luck
