Reply to Chris D:
If God has all the answers he's certainly not telling anybody ...so I guess that leaves us only with scientific research to find the answers.

Sorry, evolution is characterized as other religion, and is definitely NOT the biggest. Even if you came under atheist or agnostic, evolution still doesn't beat out Christianity, which is number one, nor Islam, which is number two.
Atheists and Agnostics are quickly growing in number, but Evolution isn't even ranking.

You're entitled to your own opinion/belief, just as I'm entitled to my own opinion/belief. I happen to believe in both creation and evolution, as they are not mutually exclusive. As I mentioned in a previous answer, there are two types of evolution, macro-evolution and micro-evolution.

Macro-evolution is the theory that all life evolved from single-cell organisms, which is quite implausible. If humans evolved from single-cell organisms, then why do single-cell organisms still exist? Would not they all have evolved to higher organisms by now?

On the other hand, micro-evolution is the theory that one single organism evolves into multiple similar organisms. For example, the original horse (Eohippus) was the size of a medium dog. But over millions of years, it became what we know today as the modern horse. And while we could debate endlessly on the origin of Eohippus in the first place, there is reasonable scientific proof that throughout the years Eohippus slowly grew in size. However, micro-evolution does not mean that apes evolved into humans, simply that apes evolved into other apes.

Evolution is not truer than Judaism. Most Jews will say that we do not know how long G-d's day was. The 7 days could actually be millions of years, and evolution was part of the whole plan.

Most text books when explaining evolution say that it happened without any outside influence. The intelligence design theory leaves room for God protecting his creation by Natural Selection.

Well, if there is such a thing as evolution, then it would be in a downward trend, and definitely not an upward one. Just take a look around, things are getting worse, not better.

Evolution and Creationism are not mutually exclusive. I believe that evolution exists under the control of God. Secular evolution doesn't have all the answers, but God does.

Yes.
My favorite response is the christian who says "you're a lying loser!" whahahaha such a typical christian response.
The sad FACT, is that your god says in his book several times that he will answer prayers, he even says in one place that when asked, he will reveal himself, and yet he doesn't do any of these things. In your own superstitious book you choose to believe certain parts. You claim some newer parts supersede old parts, and the some old parts are still applicable. when the book had downright BS pushed as fact you claim that it is mean to be more figurative (How could Noah have 2 of every single animal and creature on earth on the ark!?!?).
Evolution is just theory, and as SCIENCE reveals more, silly old world superstitions will be gradually thrown away. Simple, clouded, FEARFUL minds are the ones that need to rely on a god who can move mountains.

i know that whatever i'll write it wont convince you , but here is my answer ;

as a muslim , i belive that Evolution is not contrary to islam , becuase there are more than one theory about that , one of them is what someone told you that the days of God differs than our days , in Koran it was said in a verse about a day for God "thousand years from what you count " and in another verse it was said about the day angels go to him which is "as fifty thousand days from wat you count" , and it was proven scinteficaly that in other planets day is not 24 hrs like ours , so the evolution may took 6 periods of millions of years not six 24hrs days

about adam , a new islamic theory i think it is seems to be right , that the races or kinds of "semi-human' creatures who lived before the nowaday human could be there by the evolution BEFORE Adam , then ; one of two possibilities : first : is that Adam came from them as a mutant , a leap to the modern human , and God did everything written in bible or Koran , talked to him , ordered angels to kneel to him , put in in a garden (on earth) then the story continued at earth , second ot the other possibility is : God created Adam in heaven , then send him to earth as the first modern man , and those semi-human kinds before him were extinet as there is no link between them and Adam or us , which means :Adam was a new kind or new ceature and those kinds were never our grandfathers , he was a new creature , look like them but not one of them , he has a soul that can feel God , know religion , pray , build civilizations , and that explains why mankind lived for about 2 million years as cave men then suddenly showed up as a civilized humanbeing , consisted famillies , tribes , built civilizations only the past 10000 years .

So dont rush for taking evolution as a concrete evidence that religions are fake , becuase 4.8 billion people cant just be fools ,( christians 2.1 billion , muslims 1.3 billion , jews 12 millions and 1.5 billion of other asian religions who belive there is God) they must have somekind of point of view

i apology for my english as i'm not a native english speaker

evolution is not sound to me....I find no comfort in its concepts....they leave me with too many questions and illogical views that I just cant buy it.....
I do find comfort in Jesus and the Word of God...I find more answers to life in its books than I do in evolution.......so that is where I will stay
