After I folded it inside out, I say that the inside was covered in tiny bloodred spots and splotches.
I first assumed that I was bleed ing, but I wasn't. The red dots dodn't show through to the other side either. I immediately chucked the shirt and scrubbed my back, which, as far as I can tell, made the rash go away.

But what was it? Bacteria? Mold or fungus? What? And how did it get into the inside of my shirt?

I wash my clothes.

And I wash them myself with the same detergent that has worked for me for years.

I want to know if anybody has a clue whatthe red stuff was.

Were you walking in a wooded or weeded area? It could have been a mold or fungus you picked up. Think back to where you were when wearing that shirt for a clue. What were you exposed to during that time, anything unusual?
Did you go some where you never had been before? Have you used a different laundry detergent or a different laundry service. Where was the shirt before you wore it that day? These are some of the questions you must ask your self.

One possibility is the detergent used to wash the shirt. If it was not your regular detergent, you may have had an allergic reaction to it. This is quite common. People sometimes change detergent and get a rash that they can't figure out. If you did not use a new detergent (or the shirt was not washed by someone else) then the explanation is likely something else...

sounds like you maybe allergic to either r the material or the detergent that you used on it. What you should do is go to your Dr tell them what happened and have them do allergic skin test but if this is not an opinion then use the shirt and wash it with a sensitivity detergent t and put it back on if you still break out get another shirt of the same material and try it if you break out your allergic to the material.Good luck in whatever you do.

Many times, the manufacturer sprays the inside of clothes with insecticide to keep the bugs out during shipment. Better to wash new clothes before you wear them if you are not sure they are clean.
