Perhaps the intended meaning is, "What do you think of radio announcers?", and I'll assume that's true for my answer.
I think these people are hard-working individuals. Becoming a radio announcer isn't as simple as going in front of a mike and being able to express your thoughts smoothly and clearly--you need to develop your voice and microphone technique, and learn how to pace yourself so that you can fill a given time frame when necessary. I once picked up an audio course on radio broadcasting that fills nine whole LPs.
Like actors and musicians, radio announcers are in the public eye (okay, public "ear", but that's less poetic) every single day. When they first get on the air on a given day, it doesn't matter if they've had a stressful commute to work or have had a fight with their spouse or whatever--they have to fight their personal feelings so that they appear as friendly to the public as possible. Television announcers have it even tougher sometimes, especially news reporters, because they're on camera, and a picture speaks a thousand words.
Let's not forget the economic reason TV and radio exist, which is to sell advertising time to sponsors. Every single day the stations these announcers work for get new listeners and viewers, and if those listeners and viewers are turned off by the tone of voice of such an announcer if he *does* let his personal feelings get in the way, they aren't going to come back, and the station ultimately loses revenue because the sponsors aren't getting as many sales.
On rare occasions, it isn't easy to fight back personal feelings. Especially given that tomorrow is the fifth anniversary of 9/11, I can't think of a better example than Paula Zahn that fateful morning. She was interviewing people who were frantically searching for loved ones who they believed may have been in either of the towers when they fell, and after a while their grief and desperation got to her, to the point where she was nearly in tears herself. As her anchor remarked afterward, "We in the media are trained to be indifferent, but we're not inhuman."
