The time period I'd most like to have lived in would be the late 30s and the 40s. But I would also have liked to live in the mid 1800s. All in America of course.

I would like to have been born in 1833 in Montana. When I turned 16 I would have headed for the gold fields of northern California made a fortune , and planted an orchard. In 1859 I would have sailed to Japan to help open up trade with the Japanese . would have married a Japanese lady in Kyoto, built a Japanese style home, and planted a Japanese garden. I would have seen the advent of electricity, the automobile , the airplane, and the Meiji restoration in Japan. I would have lived to see the greatest technological changes the world has seen, in an age where life was free and opportunity abounded.

I would like it if we had the choice to go from one time to another,
because there are so many times I would like to live in, but I would choose the 1950's. The women wore such pretty clothes
and it seemed a happy time. And there was Rock & Roll!!

I hate to be boring, but I'd just want to move a few years back. Before all this Bush and war stuff. The world was certainly an easier place to live in....

I like to live in the present. This is the time period I was born into and I like it for all the good and bad.
As far as being fascinated, I love the WWII era. I would have loved to kick some German ***.

Victorian London, just because I love the clothes and the literature, etc. But I think it would have been infuriating to have been a woman then...not that it isn't a lot of the time now of course :-)
