Just wondered if maybe their flag burning had the reverse effect on some people as opposed to convincing them to be on their side. Just ran across this article where an American latino veteran felt insulted by the flag burning.

Here is the link to the story for those of you who wish to read all the article: http://www.tucsoncitizen.com/daily/local/24996.php

Absolutely, what people here don't know is that All the demonstrations you are seeing by these Latinos all over the streets is because initially these anti-"illegals" were protesting against them in front of businesses with signs in California that said ,"get out this is our country" etc. They shot themselves in the foot because as a consequence it initiated a resistance which is now funded by big American corporations. These people are for the most part uneducated, ignorant white Americans that don't understand the principles of Cause and Effect.

By the way, Mexican immigrants with or without legalization documents are serving in Iraq today as we speak. Ofcourse you dont see that in the news beside them being chased down the desert or being handcuffed.

Oh please, what is his stance on what happened in Maywood ?? That was a federal building !! Total act of war if you ask me !! Where is his outrage with the illegals flying the Mexican flag OVER the UPSIDE down American flag?? I don't see him getting bent out of shape concerning the illegals' treatment to the American flag.
And to be precise in answering your Q... No I doubt that, after seeing the crap from May most Americans probably wanted to burn a Mexican flag themselves.

~add on~ The man who burnt those flags bought them, he didn't shimmy up anything. People are frustrated with the whole situation, and to be honest I don't fault this man one bit. The Gov. has let this problem go on for far too long, American citizens are feeling let down, this was this mans way of portraying his feelings. Funny how ONE man burns some Mexican flags and everyone wants to make a big deal out of it and criticizing him for it. Where are you people when everyone in the world BURNS the American flag ?? Screw that, I have seen enough disrespect towards the American flag that I APPLAUD this mans actions !! As for not being civilized and him being "barbaric" well then I guess every person in the world who has done atrocities to our flag are all barbarians, including your illegals.

I'm very, very, VERY anti-illegal, and burning the Mexican flag is just down-right childish, and in my opinion radical. The problem I have is with those illegal criminals that wish to violate our laws, and thumb their noses at our *sovernty (sp??). Burning the Mexican flag is silly. We need to deport all illegals, their anchor babies, and family members, and close our borders TIGHT. Let only those come over whom go through the legal process.

I think its stupid. It has not changed my views because I am still anti-illegal, but it has definitely made me re-think about some of these people who are also on my "side".

Just because the pro-illegals/illegal immigrants burned the American flag, it gives them NO right to burn the Mexican flag. They are just stooping down to their level.

Two wrongs DO NOT make a right.

Some people are REALLY pissed that the border isn't being enforced effectively, and frankly hasn't been for years, and as a result, we now have mexican citizens marching for their 'rights' on our soil, waving their flag, and generally being verbally abusive every chance they get.

I think we've had the red carpet out for too long, and there's what looks like a urine stain in the middle of it, and over there it looks like someone tried to set it on fire, even. 'Help' is one thing, letting someone crap on your kitchen table is something else...

The Mexican flag belongs in Mexico. Period. That should keep it safe from getting disrespected here in the USA.

These types of emotional displays does little in solving problems. They typically are acts of frustration from people who don't have the solutions to this problem for humanity.
