The federal government is doing little to nothing to solve this illegal immigration problem despite what the majority of Americans want (remember this in November). Do you see a wave of reform against illegals sweeping the nation with cities and states?

Not enough, certainly not as much as I would like to see but we are making some steps in the right direction.

I agree with allot of what your statement says. On the other hand. Illegals and minority (now majority in many large cities) persons will soon make up a very large voting population that would hurt politicians if they did anything about it. Unfortunately, I feel we will end up with a free range North America, which, in part, will jeopardize our security for years to come.

I am not saying the illegals are terrorist. But, I am saying that invading another country without consent is an act of war.

If we make ourselves clear at the polls yes. If the Government doesn't some citizens in some States might do something about it on their own this could be very good or very bad. Some of us down South Consider this nothing short of an invasion and may react if the Gov. doesn't get it's s**t together. Citizens are fighting it hard down here believe me.

The best reason I see for sending illegals back is so that Mexico itself will be forced to reform. If Mexico's working population is here in the US there is much less pressure on the Mexican government to govern responsibly and in the best interest of it's own people.

Well if Congress fails to do anything so much as 'on paper', they'll definitely go down as the do-nothing Congress of the 21st century. I think american cities are showing signs of life, american hispanics, including naturalized mexicans, are saying 'you don't speak for me', I think that's positive, people are starting to realize that the United States is more than just a LARGE industrial park, here's hoping the voters turn out en masse this fall to bring THAT message to Congress.

Illegal immigration's a biggie. If they let every person wander on in that's so inclined, what's going to happen is that our economy could well TANK. There's about 6.6 billion people in the entire world, if they fail to 'hold the line', this country's population is going to BALLOON past any capacity to support itself, some growth forecasts have put the number as high as 600 million.

Look how fast things happened last century. In the 'teens, there were about 1.1 billion people, worldwide. Just shy of 100 years later, there's now 6.6 billion, 2 billion of which live in flat-out poverty, approximately. I say 'do the math' on that one, how long would it take the US population to grow to 1 billion if there was a continuation of shoddy border enforcement? I mean, hey, it's up to them, but let's say the US population roughly quadrupled in say, 70 years, hypothetically. How many cars would that represent, how many pounds of beef, chicken, pork, and fish, tons of grain/fresh water/dairy per day? What would happen to our arable land, our water table, our air? Forests? Kiss those goodbye. I hate to be the pessimist at the table, but I just have some grave reservations about their plans, here.

I don't mind legal immigration, but as the world population continues to explode, it's my sincere hope that these guys think very carefully about what kind of 'promises' they're making on behalf of the american people, 'cause I think if they looked around,I think that they'd find less and less people supporting their policies, mainly just some big companies whose interests are focused on squeezing every thin dime they can out of our economy. Senators and representatives, please don't feed the US population to the sharks...think before you vote...nuff said.

Not nearly aggressive enough. Georgia is enforcing illegal immigration laws. Illegal hiring, etc. I see some improvement, maybe it'll just take a while for the effects to show up. I know our governor is anti-illegal immigrant.
