Get some little puppy that's categorized as TOY DOG. They're always cute.
And good luck with the convincing!

I think that if you are responsible enough to take care of both of the dogs then put your convincing skills to practice. Make sure you are ready though umm 2 dogs is a lot of responsibility to take care of, especially for the first week or so, i would recomend to get a dog about the same size as your other dog, i like boxers and pit bulls but that is totally up to you depending on what you want your dog to be like. Oh dont get a 7 week old puppy because as you already know they cry too much, so get a dog about the same age as your other dog and size so you wont have to go through everything again, but that is up to you and your parents. (just giving my opinion =))
well good luck on convincing your parents =)

why don't your parents want another dog. Explain to them how responsible you are (if you are) and that the dog would belong to you you would feed it, play with it, walk it brush it love it all the time. Pets are not just fun to look at but a huge responsiblily which at 13 I am sure you know. now about a breed, if it is to be your dog, you choose but choose something small so when you have lots of homework you can still exercise it without having to take it to some big huge park for an hour or two.

I reccomend a Boston Terrier. I've had Bostons since I was six. They are pretty good at exercising themselves, particularly if they have another dog to play with. My youngest and most active BT does well just nosing around in the backyard for a bit, and going on a short walk around the block. Other than that, she runs around inside playing with her toys and her Lab. :-P
You do have to be careful with Bostons though- they cannot be outdoor dogs because their short noses make them sensitive to extreme heat or cold.

If your parents will allow you to get another dog, I would get another 'sporting' breed or a mixed breed from a shelter. Your dog will meet the other dog and you will be able to see if it is a good match before you bring him home.

The best dog I have ever seen in my life is english Pointer as its the most faithful and clean dog. Its very beatiful and obedient if properly looked after. It just irks when it wants to go out and run for enjoyment but its nature...

I actually think you would have more fun with just the one. After the dogs get used to each other they won't want to play with you as much..but if you must get another, get a lab!

wait a few weeks, and in those weeks, work extra hard & show that you are responsible. take teh dog on walks, pick up the poop, give it baths....and do other things that show you are responsible too. thenn--ask. good luck. also, I would get a dog that is inexpensive and doesn't shed too much if ur parents are worried about that. get one from a shelter or something.

i agree with getting another dog, because what happens when your parents are at work and your at school? your dog is left all alone with no one to play with. if you have another dog, they can play together and keep each other company when your not home.
