Some people believe so, but that seems to be a long time to wait before deciding to create "creation".
Assuming that the fundies are correct and the universe was created 6000 years ago... God was sitting aroung for a long, long time, just as happy as, well just happy. He then decided that he needed some worshippers. What made him change his mind? Maybe he was depressed, but then why didn't he just create some drugs?
Ooooohhh, that falls right into the creationist logic. Something must have made god change his mind. What is that something? Must be a different god, maybe the FSM!

By definition: God exists, has existed from before Time began, and will exist after Time ceases to exist.
Since He already existed "in the beginning", therefore He has existed from all Eternity. And all things were made (created) by Him and without Him was nothing made that has been made.
Either that, or:
(2) the material universe has existed forever, or
(3) the nothingness of nothing brought the Universe into existence; or
(4) nothing exists, we do not exist; and all this is just a figment of your imagination -- except that your imagination does not exist if nothing exists!!

God is, full stop. So yes, He has existed forever, and will forever. He himself said, "I AM that I am." He created time for us, as limited humans; he is outside time, "other than" the temporal universe he created.

Flip through the dictionary and look up;
1. Omnipotent
2. Omnipresent
3. Omniscience
These are the three examples of God reflective of the trinity.
That is your homework. Decide not to do it and you get a big fat F.

That's a question nobody can answer because God is unknowable. All I know is, am certain we have a creator who we call God.
