I am having my third one ever, right now. The first one was in 1996. The second one was about a year ago. Benadryl helps with anxiety but I took two with little effect today. I dont know where the intense fear feeling is coming from unless it is the collective feeling about 9-11 and terrorism. I read on here yesterday I think, 2 different people put up the same question about their medication being changed by their doctor; I'm not on any but maybe if it is something a lot of doctors are doing it can affect others who arent on any medication? I get more fearful during the first couple of days of menstruation but this I think is the first one that has been panic; the other two werent menstrual-related

NO sweetie your not alone. I get panic attacks once in a while and sometimes several times a week - their very intimating because there's nothing you can do about it but ride it out. If you get them alot - maybe you should talk to your Dr. about getting some medication to help with the anxiety, also make sure your getting plenty of sleep (at least 8 hrs a night). I know what your going through - my prayer's are with you - I hope you can get some help with them.

Noooo, you're not alone. While I do not have panic attacks, I have a friend who does and know of others. It's frightening to watch her so I can only begin to imagine how scary it must be for you and her.

I think she was put on Zoloft. She only took it during any episode. Fortunately, it's been a few years since she's had an attack.

See your doctor if you haven't. Good luck!

I would get panic attacks when I ran out of vodka or beer. But now I attend A.A...But seriously, I just discovered I may suffer what are called "panic attacks". Mine don't last long or happen often: If you're worried about it see a mental health worker. You'll be OK.
