depending on how old your children are would depend on when to tell them if they are I would say between 7-10 years old then yes I would tell them but if you can word it to them when being younger it is better to go ahead and tell them because there is no telling when the other child might have to find your husband for any reasons due to medical or even because she wants to know him. it is entirely up to you on when to tell them and if you should I personally would go ahead and tell them that before their mommy and daddy got together daddy had a nother baby sister and she is living with some other people right now just to let them know

Unless you plan on finding this daughter in the immediate future, I personally, would wait until the children are older to tell them about this girl.

Kids need time to comprehend things. If they are too young to understand how this other daughter was "made," then don't bring it up.

If she will be walking through your door and eating with the famly in the near future, then you will need to find a way to explain a few things.

Maybe you should try to find the child and adopt since he is the biological father. Then the children can all grow up together.

Most people advise telling them as soon as they are old enough to understand.

Increasingly, adoptees are being given the right to information about parentage once they reach majority. It's just as well that half-siblings be aware that this might happen.

If the child isn't involved in your lives at all I guess I wouldn't tell them at all.
