I was thinking about the Satan/God issue when it occured to me...
Given that satan is living in this horrific location, why would he willingly do so? Hasn't god already punished satan by casting him out and forcing this entity to live in such dire circumstances? What would be the motivation for this fallen angel to STAY there? Why not appologise to god for whatever transgresssions god percieves that you have done so you can come back to this lovely place known as heaven? Even a psychopath, albeit a human term, would think only of self and do what's necessary to relieve themselves of this hideous scenario. Which leads me to think...
What if satan has appologised? Would that not make god the psycopath in this mythological drama? For that matter, why has god not tried to engage satan in some kind of round table therapy session so they could deal with their differences and find some common ground?
Your thoughts?

satan (lucifer) was an angel at one time a very close angel to God. satan (lucifer) decided that he was important as God and by doing so God cast him and the other angels that were following satan (lucifer) into hell. God also gave satan (lucifer) free reign over earth. That is why WE are all tempted by satan, that is why we need God in our lives to combat the evil caused by satan. Believe it or not God is not at fault for the way things are on this earth, it is satan that is corrupting peoples beliefs. Remember satan talking to Adam and Eve. Well that still goes on today. satan lies to everyone, it is the christian people that realize this and stand by OUR Lord God. Believe this or not satan does love God, but satan also has a free will and that is what caused all the problems in the first place. satan thought he was more powerful than God.

God has Statn living in this realm that would seem to run parralel to the physical relm, but crosses at some point. because he still has access to humans and can effect them. He has no choice because he and the thrd of the angels that were cast out with him are destined to live in this realm until Jesus puts Satan out of his misery. Stan is to prideful to apologize to God. he would never do it, and if he did that would be something to witness. God doesnt invite anybody back, he plays the observance and the waiting game. He dosent come to us and ask us to worship him. He waits until those who are ready for him and for forgiveness come on their own accord.

i'm sure God exausted all his resources in order to give satan another chance. But satan wanting to be God hardened his heart towards God. I'm sure there was nothing more God could show or do for satan that would cause him to repent and fall back into a love relationship with God

OK...first of all satan is living and alive here on planet earth and the second heaven as stated in the Bible.....he has not seen hell yet ...he knows what is coming and doesn't care ...he doesn't want anyone to have what he rejected......his heart is void of all compassion and ability to want to be forgiven.....don't fall into the trap of feeling sorry for him ...he doesn't care one way or the other......

What makes you think God wouldn't engage him in discussion or forgive if he desired it? Knowing God, of course he would.
The thing about hatred is that there isn't a desire to change. And if God truly allows freedom of choice, the certainly that applies to Satan as well.

Satan is supposed to live in people... by that I mean via sin and such.
I don't know what could happen if Satan apologized, God is supposed to be ultimately merciful.
Additionally, perhaps he was forced there and cannot escape.

Satan has already been judged, and sentenced to death!
God will not change his mind, and Satan will not lower himself to ask!
