How come ipod linux wont work on my 5g video?

I tried installing ipod linux on my 5g video ipod and i can't get it installed... After about a half hour of installing itquits and a message popped up.....I would like to know why and how i can fix this.

coz linux is junk go back to microsoft xp its much better
