i don't want kids, i don't want to wait till i get old because i'm still pretty young, i want to get rid of my period because i get cramps that hurt like hell and i always leak through.

1. Pregnancy: It will take your period for 9 months.
2. Sterilization: Your ovaries can be remove with a little cut, so your uterus.
3. Nun way: This is a very cheap option, cloister your self into a nuns' convent. May be with a lot prayers period will go away.
4. Time: May be if you patiently wait until you hit the 50 or 60 years old your period will go away, this is the cheapest way.

your period is necessary. if you are having problems with it, then you need to see a doctor. if money is an issue - go to planned parenthood.
now if you wish to be on birth control - there is the depro provera (sp) shot. after time, it does stop your period. although, complications can arise with it. i've had two daughters discontinue with it because of the unpredictable breakthrough bleeding.
this form of birth control has not been around enough years to know of any long term effects and i would be hesitant to use it. it's messing with mother nature and there has to be repercussions for that. i don't see how that could possibly be good for your body.

Menopause or a hysterectomy.
There is a birth control pill out now that makes you have your period only four times a year. Go see your gynecologist about it.

Why would you want to do that? That is so stupid. You have a period for a reason! Deal with it like billions of women do everyday. Stop trying to mess with what God gave you!

Only way I know of is a hysterectomy but it's not free by any means.
