I think sometimes we tend to idolize relationships that we had when we were younger just because they were simpler times when we didn't have to worry about some of the things you do when you are a teenager. I don't know how far away from him you are now, but if you were to date him now things would not be the same as they were back then. If you want to find him, you could try googling his name or asking people that you still know in Minnesota.
