Is it just someone's way of pissing off those of us who have respect for the proper use of our language? Once, a user logged in to answer my question, wrote "lol" and signed out. Got 2 points. What is there to gain by cheating? What good would it do to reach level 6 by cheating? There is no prize, just a respectable title. There's another way to achieve that title. Get off your tush and work!

lol means laugh out loud it s so you know you got a rise out of the person you are talking to and some people yes they are stupid and the only way they can possibly gain points is to give a stupid answer

"Lol" stands for "laughing out loud". But you're right, there sure are a lot of users who do that for 2 points. I wouldn't want to get to level 6 or 7 by answering all of the questions by saying, "LOL, 2 POINTS 4 ME." Or "This question sux, 2 points." Ugh, I don't like users like that. When I answer questions, I try my best to answer the question.

connie? a word to the wise. ok?? YOU may use proper language, and i do too, but when i am online, I don't have the time to type out long drawn out expressions. It means Lough out loud, and it is used to tell the other person that what they said, was funny, and you thought so,and so they know they made a funny. you DO know what a funny is, don't you?

Hmmm, it can mean a lot:

1. laughing out loud if he appreciates your joke
2. cheating to earn points
3. if he agrees to what you say
4. (but if you are asking and he says LOL to answer) it means he is being sarcastric
5. it can also mean he does not care
6. just part of his system
7. he is a certified chatter :P
