The insurance for the vehicle that caused the accident should pay for your damages. If there is a dispute of any kind, that could be a hold up between the other two carriers, but one of them should be the good guy and pony up for your damages and sort out the rest of it between them. Unless, of course, you live in a no pay no play state.
Now you should realize why having insurance is so important, and in most cases, a legal requirement.

You should be arrested for breaking the law. I have to pay for insurance and you should too. People like you are why my rates are so high. You should have your license revoked anddd the first car's insurance company should not pay for your damages as you are a criminal. Law breaker. Shoulda had you some insurance and then you wouldn't be on Yahoo Answers looking for more FREE help. Insurance companies battle with other insurance companies. What a great country we live in! God bless the USA!

i work for an claims dept for an insurance company. It first depends on what state you live in, some states say if you have no insurance you are not entitled to any compensation from the at fault parties however many other states say it does not matter as long as you know who the at fault party is you can go through their insurance to have your car fixed. AND if that person has no insurance then well you are (as someone else said) screwed.

Excuse me. But why were you out on the road in a car with no insurance? It is people like you that makes my insurance high because I have to get uninsured motorist. I believe there is a law that if you don't have insurance you don't get anything. I certainly hope so. Insurance, maintenance, a driver's license are part of ownership of a vehicle. If you can't do the above three don't drive.

they might. and they might not.
with the insurance laws (ALL VEHICLES MUST BE INSURED IN ORDER TO OPERATE ON THE ROAD) i'm betting they could very well argue that you had NO business being on the road as you were uninsured. and you would deserve that. insurance is for everybody's protection.
did you get a no insurance ticket? frankly, i hope so. and then i hope your stuck with a smashed up car. sorry, this is not an attack on you but to all the ones that think it's ok to drive without insurance.

If you don't live in a 'no pay, no play' state like LA., then yes, car #1 insurance will cover your loss.
Unless HE doesn't have insurance. Then you ARE screwed.

If you are not at fault, the other car's insurance company should pay. Unless you got a ticket for driving with no insurance, you'll have to pay that.

No, you are not covered plus you'll have to pay out of your own pocket for the damages on your vehicle and the one that hit you.
Be prepared for a lawsuit, better be prepared to get a lawyer.
