Trust me, if you want to join ANY navy, you want to be short, no taller than say 5'9" or 5'10".

There are enough pipes and conduits and valves and stuctural supports that anyone taller than this is bound to crack his head on just about everything. That, and becasue doors have really mean coamings on them, they are extremely bloody low. And being short means you can stow some more gear in your bunk, say, at your feet.
