I have three greyhounds. They are the laziest dogs in the world. Until it is time to run - and then watch out 45 mph here we come!

I have 3 italian greyhounds. They range in age from 5 y, 3 y, and 11 months. The 11 month old is in constant motion. He very rarely sleeps as a matter of fact. The older two are also quite active, but not as much so as the the baby. They run through my house at about 30 mph. I think it is the breed to be honest with you. Most other people I know have dog that sleep 20 hours of the day.

My dog is the same age as yours and she does this too but is starting to calm down a bit.

They all calm down when they get older, but if you want to tire her out, take her on a long, long walk. The sustained walking will make her more tired than bursts of running.

My friends who have greyhounds say that they have only two speeds: running fast and sleeping.

My dog is incredibly hyper to be 5 yrs. old.He is a black lab with an unlimited supply of energy. He still likes chewing on things ,just like when he was a puppy. He has the energy to run with you and retrive a ball for you as long as you are willing to play with him.

My dogs are very hyper - they are Boxers and just have endless energy even at 4-5 years old.

my rat terrier is 1.5 years, she is just now learning what it means to be a lap dog. she loves to play with the kids, willing to play whenever they are. but she likes her snuggle time to. give them lots of lovin, dont play with them when you are doing this, that way they will learn this is quite time.

My GSDs are both. They move really fast when we go 'work' and are calm inside our house! : )
