why is it that we never hear about buddhists causing trouble? i mean the muslims jews and christians are always fighting and causing problems but not buddhists why is that?

Read your Japanese history books. There were some small sects of various buddhists who ended up doing something or another... a long time ago... in a very small way... that's totally irrelevant.
Ummm, I don't know. Numbers? Maybe it's because Buddhism is supposed to be about peace and enlightenment, not about converting people to "the truth." Attitudes yo. Attitudes.

You were not watching the news in the late 90's when the Buddhists and Hindus of Thailand were fighting each other in their turf wars at the temples.

Some certain religions don't teach the intolerance of others beliefs. And it's not just Buddhists that are left out of the instigator category!

the only people i've ever heard of Buddhists hurting were themselves. remember the burnings during the war in vietnam? their whole philosophy seems to be about peace.

A true Christian does not hate any one enough to fight them. They are even more peaceful then the Buddhists, who if you rile them up enough they will fight you.

I wouldn't blame all of your problems on religion, but the way in which people live. Most Christians today don't live Christian lives. Some people are i.d. themselves as Christians, but only become real Christians on Sundays for a couple of hours.

May be they are taught to live without making trouble..
It is not the religion - it is how people interprit it and how intelligent, open minded people are or how stupid they are - You get stupid people in all religions - I agree that the ones who fight the most have the most idiots !
