simply becasue pit bulls have a nature of vicious and they do not think about what they're doing. Unless they are raised by a good owner who can change all of that..but they are known to turn on the owner

THEY DON'T. And I own one and I am not a "ghetto owner" and he is far from vicious. Pit bulls were actually bred for what their name suggests they were like todays rodeo clowns and saved the matador from the bull by grabbing ahold of it because they have such strong lock jaw. My pitty lives with me on 15 acres in the country andcan do anything and learn anything any other dog can but they are a terrier and naturally harder to train so its the owners fault. And the idiots that try to pit them against each other give them a bad name.

They dont. They are incredibly intelligent dogs but like all Terriers you have to work to get them to want to do anything. They want the incentive to be good enough...which is why prong collars dont work well on most Pits. They were bred to tolerate pain, so using pain as a motivator to not do something is easily ignored. Giving them a reason to do it, with reward based training (usually Pits love the game of tug as the best reward), will usually show you just how smart this dog really is. Many dogs would work without the 'paycheck'...I wouldnt consider it stupid to insist on 'payment' (cookie, belly rub, game of tug, ect.) for a job correctly done. Would you?

Pit bulls don't lack intelligence. They are terriers first which means they are hard headed and want to do things their own way. They need training and to know their place in the pack. I believe mostly people just don't expect anything out of them except aggression. (which, originally they were not allowed to people aggressive, only with other dogs. We have made them the way they are)

Pit bulls find it impossible to be much more intelligent than their owner.

Well, considering my pit is scared of my pet rabbit, and would flop on his back for a belly rub if he caught a robber in my house, maybe you have a point.
But, then intelligence is subjective. I know doctors who can't change a flat tire on their own car, are they stupid? I know diesel mechanics who can fix any thing, but can barely spell their own names. Are they stupid? Pits were bred to be all around dogs. Yes, they were fought, but they also were kept as pets, and farm dogs. They can be taught to herd, they excel as vermin catchers, and are even used as hunting dogs. But then, they also excel as pets for people who want a sweet, playful, non-dominate companion, one that is not "smart" enough to figure out how to get into cabinets, or be a big hassle!

They don't, but many are inbred and have issues. The ones that aren't are intelligent.

They are just as smart as any other dog, and a dog can only be as smart as their owner.
