This is a situation that calls for immediate attention. The first thing you need to do is admit that you need a professionals help (I know you may say that you don't have the money or don't like salons, but in a case like this you need them). They will be able to assess exactly what the damage is, and then take you through a routine at the salon and the products you will need to maintain it at home. Once you have gotten you hair back in shape, then you should be able to go less frequently and make sure you get regular trims, and ALWAYS go back to them for your touch-ups. This process can take anywhere from 4-6 months depending on the type of damage you have.

As far as supplements, you should also try the following in conjunction with doing the steps above: Cod Liver Oil Pill daily ( they don't taste like fish) which will help increase growth and the thickness of your hair, Fish Oil Pills daily (they also don't have a taste) and add natual oil to your scalp. There is also a new hair vitamin called Santica Beauty Recipies Strong Hair which is very good for keeping healthy hair.

♥♫♦ I am sorry that I am just now seeing this question but the only things that need are this Avacore and Hair Genesis these will stop all breakage and falling out of your hair. Here is something else that you can do wear wash and sets off and on along with cornrows and make them look real pretty like with the beads at the end of your hair like Alica Keys be having at the end of her hair. Then the following month wear a wrap. Every body's hair is different but for normal hair you can go like seven months with out a perm. The reason why you need the Avacore and the Hair Genesis pills is because of the unbalance of DHT and that is what cause's hair loss and also perms. The cheap hair pills really don't work because the pills need to be in a capsule form and not the hard form and your hair will grow real fast. I hope that I have cause that is really all that you need. ♥♫♦

it can be a lot of things, stress, to much chemicals or anything. First you should only be relaxing your hair once a month if you change relaxers meaning the brands that can cause your hair to fall out. A professional really isn't going to be able to help its a matter of taking care of your hair. suggestion get your ends cut really good and take a break from the perms like maybe get braids the less you do to your hair with us as African Americans the more it seem to grow to much grease is a bad thing. if you need more help email me at naycole@netzero.com good luck

In situations like this I would suggest seeing a Professional. If your first instinct is that the hair loss is caused by chemicals go to a stylist for a consult. If you think it is something else go to a Dermatologist.

Generally you should only relax every 6-8 wks. or until you have 1 inch of new growth.

Products can't make your hair grow faster, but they can improve the strength and health of your hair.

maybe your hair is dried out try using a conditioner with tons of moisture and you should only relax your hair every six months No more than that. the chemicals in a relaxer can be very harsh and dry your hair out like crazy if they are over used. oh and just a tip never use a round brush on wet hair because wet hair is weaker and the round brush breaks it so use a wide tooth comb instead that should help keep less hair from falling out (unless you already know this)

If you keep on relaxing your hair there won't be anything left to relax. You have to find another way for your hair. I see short, short haired African ameri. girls. cute. Or wear fake hair and do some research on line. they have shampoos that will stop the falling and they also have pills to balance your hormones. creamers, massage rs.. special electric comps..Dont' wait to do your research. It's better to take action on the early stages. Find some styles, cool hats...???

i will have to agree you need to let a professional stylist to do your hair....I was once like you before my hair was falling out alot, the reason why is because i was perming my hair by myself.I hated to see new growth-so i was perming it alot more than often. My hair became over-processed.I finally got fed up with the way i was treating my hair and i contacted a hairstylist who i knew would give my hair the attention it needed. After a nice cut,my hair is really healthy and it got alot of body in it....So seek a stylist.....As far as the vitamins,I'm not sure if they will work or not....
