Half an inch grows per month. However, damaged hair with split ends doesn't grow at all, so it's important to keep your hair in good condition, and not over-use heated stylers such as hair straighteners, curlers and not blowdry your hair too often.

with mine, it grows an inch per month and i have it trimmed for .5 inch per month too :( leaves me . 5 only. hehehe.
