It would make me a little nervous but they really step up security on 9/11 so I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

I actually started working at Heathrow just after the I.R.A. mortar bombings. I've since been there during 911, the London Underground bombings, and the most recent troubles aswell.

I got alot of questions and concerns from family and friends, but my view was that if I'm going to go ther's no way I'm going to know when. If I try to protect myself from every possible chance of anything happening to me, I'll end up locked up in my cellar away from everything that can do me harm. Most likely there will be a flood that day and I'll drown anyway.

He will understand your concerns, but understand and respect that he wont bow down to possible terrorist threats.

I can understand your concern, but the likelihood is that if something were to happen on that day, it would NOT be anything similar to what happened to 5 years ago. We are too aware of and alert to that particular possibility to allow it to happen again, especially on that day. The airport is probably the safest place to be on that day.
