Several Cities have sold their City Water systems to Foriegn Countrie , example is Atlanta , a French company owns their water.

Saudi Arabia owns millions of acres of Land, some of it Timber, mining, and other holdings.

I just learned the stupid Republican governor of Indiana sold the Indiana Toll Road to an Austrailan- ? Corporation for 3.4 billion.

Actually the United States has many agreements with other countries in which sharing of resources is a part.

These international agreements are common. Water rights and responsibilities are maintained between the United States and both Canada and Mexico.

Water is a world wide concern. Ancient civilizations have failed as a result of failing water supplies. Modern societies might to go to war to preserve their water rights in a time of drought and increased population pressures.

Fisheries and mineral resources are also a topic of international agreements. There will be more agreements as nations fight not to share each other's pollution! Hopefully the world will reduce pollution sooner than later.

;-D There are a lot of things that people might consider theirs that in fact are not theirs at all.

Oh... do you mean like the way America has been grabbing the water that belongs to Mexico and keeping it from them so people in colorado and Arizona can water their lawns instead of letting the Mexican people have the water for such rediculous and wasteful purposes as growing crops to survive?... Is THAT what you have in mind?

The states share their resources with neighboring states.

Oh you want to share with a foreign country?

That is an inane suggestion.

The US is largely controlled by Japan now...about 100% of commericial real estate in Honolulu, about 90% in Los Angeles, and major control in entertainment, etc....so who cares about water, etc....We spend a billion dollars a day in Japan, so soon we'll have left left to worry over.

technacually it isn't our water it belongs to the earth, and if we share water then it still is all going to be used up at the same rate so it doesn't really matter... besides we are using up our reasorces way to fast for our own good anyway, and we all will die if we use up all the wood and water so...
