Corn and sometimes coconut.. I used to work in a coconut oil factory and I know they use the oil for cereals and other things... Perhaps the vegetable oil is a combination of corn, sunflower and coconut...

Generally in the UK when the bottle just refers to vegetable oil it is made from oil seed rape as this is the cheapest option under our climatic conditions for vol/hectare. However always check the label.

Vegetable oil refers to oils extracted from numerous sources - corn, soybeans, peanuts, cottonseeds, safflower seeds, rape seeds (for canola oil) and sunflower seeds. Pale in color and neutral in flavor, they can be heated to high temperatures. Cold-pressed oils are preferred over those processed using heat.
but most commonly it is rapeseed that is used in vegtable oil well it is for tesco's own brand which i use as i looked on the lable

The term is used to indicate either blended oils (sunflower + rapeseed for example) or a catch all where multiple different oils might be used depending on cost or availability.
