I don't want anything pretentious, just great food with friendly service. The price range is unimportant. Thanks.

That's such a hard question since there's a cornucopia of Ethnic food in NYC; I say you can usually never go wrong with most Thai or Indian; It's Sunday today, just see if there's a line or check the menu and see if there are a lot of people from that particular Ethnic group eating there; Italian, Sushi, Middle Eastern-find one that has Belly dancing or other entertainment; how about New Orleans style with a Jazz Band? If you're feeling "saucy" (pun intended), French, Southwestern, Northern Italian- try one of Bobby Flays or Mario Batali's places! Or for great seafood, the Oyster Bar at Grand Central Station; Falafel or Souvlaki from a vendor; Great Steak: Smith and Wollensky; I'd try something new for breakfast, lunch and dinner! High Tea at one of the finer hotels...oh, I can go on and on....

Try Korean BBQ at Woo Chon. They have locations in Manhattan and Flushing, Queens.

Peking Duck House has the best peking duck in the city. Locations in midtown and chinatown - pekingduckhousenyc.com.

Try Tea & Sympathy in Greenwich Village for some traditional English food. There is a tea shop and a traditional fish & chips shop nextdoor called A Salt and Battery.
