Question: "Why did God choose Israel to be His chosen people?"
Answer: Speaking of the nation of Israel, Deuteronomy 7:7-9 tells us, “The LORD did not set His affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath He swore to your forefathers that He brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands.”
God chose the nation of Israel to be the people through whom Jesus Christ would be born – the Savior from sin and death (John 3:16). God first promised the Messiah after Adam and Eve’s fall into sin (Genesis chapter 3). God later confirmed that the Messiah would comes from the line of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Genesis 12:1-3). Jesus Christ is the ultimate reason why God chose Israel to be His chosen people. God did not have to have a “chosen people,” but He decided to do it that way. Jesus had to come from some nation of people, and God chose Israel.
However, God’s reason for choosing the nation of Israel was not solely for the purpose of producing the Messiah. God’s desire for Israel was that they would go and teach others about Him. Israel was to be a nation of priests, prophets, and missionaries to the world. God’s intent was for Israel to be a distinct people, a nation of people the pointed others towards God and His promised provision of a Redeemer, Messiah, and Savior. For the most part, Israel failed in this task. However, God’s ultimate purpose for Israel, that of bringing for the Messiah and Savior, was fulfilled perfectly – in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus was a Jew therefore when it reads in the Old Testement, that the Jews are God's choosen people ,it means in reference to the Son of God. Jesus. READ THE OLD TESTEMENT at the begining. The Holy Lands, contained the 12 tribes of Israel. What you have written , it is interesting indeed. Jesus was born in Bethlehem. So why is it that the Arab's are continuing to try to take over the land of the Jews? That little strip of land , that of Israel, is well known all over the world. So why can't the Arab people leave them alone? It can't be that difficult to make a treaty , to have Peace. Israel and Palestine, need to have their own borders, and respect each other. We are all of Gods people. The word choosen is used, for the Jews , because Jesus was a Jew.

Debate,
When you talk about the word "Jews", you are meaning "Hebrews."
The Hebrews were God's chosen people. The Jews didn't come around until there was a split in the Northern Kingdom and the Southern Kingdoms of Israel. After that split occured, the name Jews appears describing those Southern Kingdom Hebrews which included the tribe of Judah, from where the name Jew is derived from.
But since you brough up Jew and Abraham, I thought that I would explain to you that the Word "Jew" is not synonymus with "Hebrew."
Now to answer your question with that background, let me show you where it says that that land belongs to the Hebrews, today called the Jews:
Genesis 13:14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
So as you know, the land was given to Abram, to be renamed by God, Abraham.
The debate is from which son did that promise extend to; Ishmael or Isaac?
To Abraham, this messge from the Lord:
Genesis 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
Next there is an important passage that is easily overlooked. Abraham wants to find Isaac a wife before he dies. The servant that goes to find the wife is told to not take Isaac with him, because God had directed Abraham to leave that country, in favor of the land promised to Him. Read Genesis 24:1-8.
So now the country and the people are established. The descendents, I'm sure are easily found, that place Isaacs offsring to Jacob(Israel), and the descendents from there are easily found as well.
It would be accurate to note that Abraham did not want to return the Chaldea. And he God considered himself apart from them. And in God's eye's the split is made and obvious. That Abrahams line continues notably to Isaac, Jacob, the sons of Jacob and Joseph, to King David, who was promised an everlasting kingdom.

Romans 9: 4-5 says, "They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and from them, according to the flesh, comes the Messiah, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen." (NRSV)

You are scary, because your logic is all messed up, so in your knowledge of history! Abram was a HEBREW, not an Arab! He was descended from Seth. Arab = Ishmaelites = Ishmael = Son Of Abram.
