God is omniscient. When he created the universe, he saw the sufferings which humans would endure as a result of the sin of those original humans. He heard the screams of the damned. Surely he would have known that it would have been better for those humans to never have been born (in fact, the Bible says this very thing), and surely this all-compassionate deity would have foregone the creation of a universe destined to imperfection in which many of the humans were doomed to eternal suffering. A perfectly compassionate being who creates beings which he knows are doomed to suffer is impossible.

God kindly created an eternal torture chamber to which He will condemn people to show how much He loves them. That's one of the advantages of being God, you don't have to worry about being labeled a deranged psychotic just because you enjoy torturing people

An atheist, eh? Fine. So, technically, you "believe" that there is no god. Hmmmm.

So. Athiesm is just another form of belief. In fact, it's one that pretends to prove what is "not", which is always more difficult than proving what "is".

What you forget to mention, I think, is free will. The doomed were not foreordained to be doomed. They doomed themselves, usually by dooming others through their bad/cruel/greedy behaviors. So, that pretty much expliains the root of suffering in the world.

In essence, God created us to be good (and most of us are). He gave us simple ethical teachings along those lines as best he could under the very complex circumstances, BUT some very evil men etc. did some very evil things to the rest of us.

The question becomes, then ... why haven't the bad people been punished by God?

Or, to be fair, is it ... why haven't they been punished by the good people? Are there too few good people? Too many bad?

Was this destined to happen? Or has it simply happened through aggregate effects of many self-willed creatures? And, has it happened the same way EVERYWHERE? The Universe is maybe a multiverse, science tells us ... so it might not be wise to extrapolate to ALL from THIS.

You can blame God, or any higher being, if you want ... but don't overreach by pretending to know even a smidgen of what he/his knows and cares for.

God didn't create suffering. The suffering is created by the seperation from God that we create by sinning. God does know everything including those who were, have been, and will be born and don't accept him. However, at any time they are free to accept him. I suppose in a way it's just a matter of perspective. Even if I am ultimately doomed to fale I would rather have had the chance than to never have been created. Free will is a gift He gave us. Regardless of how we use it, the gift is still good. As he could just as easily made us all perfect as he could not made us at all.

God gave man one special thing, free will. It is because of that free will that we bring suffering upon ourselves. He also gave us an out, His perfect son having no sin, suffered for us. That is compassion. Just because He knew what was going to happen, doesn't mean He shouldn't have done it. Ppl have children every day, these children poop their pants, scream at the top of their lungs, argue with their parents, leave home even though they can't completely care for themselves and cost parents often times more money than the parents make. Would you suggest that for any of these reasons, ppl should not have children? Gas is at record prices. Ppl are spending bo-coo $$ just going to the store to get a new DVD or another case of bottled water, shouldn't they forgo doing that instead of spending that money driving, and instead use that money to feed the starving? It is all complicated but even though I got off track, I somewhat agree with you to the extent that what He did, knowing what He knows was not only impossible, but very self centered for a Deity.

No way!

As Lucifer abandoned His Creator, he seduced Adam and Eve with its lies.

God is perfect and nothing and no one will ever never be able to change it.

God is God

And God has a perfect Plan for Eternity.

Not impossible. We Have a Choice, we do not have to suffer those things. the choice is completley up to us. and if we do suffer hell fire it is of our own doing. or lack of doing however you want to look at it. and yes it probably was better that Judas was never born rather than betray Jesus, but then again someone had to do it.
