why does anyone belief them? They were written so long ago by much less knowlegable people, obviously these people could just be confused or just lying. Even today there are many crazy cults with leaders claiming to be god hows this any different?

It's just words, which are imprecise and can be misinterpreted, especially as years go by. If God is all powerful, why can't he imprint within us what he wants from us when we're born?

The people who wrote the Bible were inspired by God. You can question whether every event really happened or not, but the reality is, what is written in the Bible is TRUE. It is our very best road map on how to live. The Bible is called The Living Bible because throughout the centuries, people still face the same challenges in our relationships with others and are seeking a closer relationship with God. Everything in the Bible is relevant to our everyday life.
Passages in the Bible become more meaningful the more they are read and studied. Even though passages in the Bible are often misused for self serving reasons, the Bible is our best source for achieving personal growth in our quest for a meaningful existence.

There have been hundreds of books written on the subject of the evidences of the divine inspiration of the Bible, and these evidences are many and varied. Most people today, unfortunately, have not read any of these books. In fact, few have even read the Bible itself! Thus, many people tend to go along with the popular delusion that the Bible is full of mistakes and is no longer relevant to our modern world.

Some people are not strong minded enough...they need to be followers of something. They need to be led.
As far as why do people believe...that's a toss up. I was raised in a protestant household, by very open minded parents. They allowed me to make my own decisions about faith, though frankly from the age of 10 I thought Christianity was a load of crap.
I can't explain why some people are as devout or not, as they are, and I don't think anyone else can either. Each person's reasons are different.

That is the exact question I would like to find out. I don't understand why people believe some men from the past but not any from the present. What part or parts of the Bible do people read that make them believe it?

You got a good point. It was written so long ago and so much has changed then. People today know alot more then those back then did. God did not write the bible so in my eyes its hearsay.

According to the Bible we humans are all GODS.
John10:33 The Jews answered Him saying...
"For good work we stone Thee not... but for blasphemy.
And because that Thou... being a man... makest thyself God"
Jesus answered them... "Is it not written (by moses) in your law,
I said...'YE' are... 'Gods'!!

the people who wrote the bible was chosen by god. god was telling them what to write because the bible is our guide. if it wasnt for the bible we would not know that jesus died for our sins. peace.
