Should we invade China?

According to the Republican way of thinking:
they are not a democracy
they have WMDs
they have invadeed a neighboring country

You forgot a few things:

1) They are actually a threat to us. Republican hawks (not ALl Republicans, mind you) only invade nations that are not a reall threat at the time.

2) We are shipping a lot fo jobs to China. Republicans don't stand in the way with big business shipping their work overseas. Iraq and Afghanistan had no jobs taken from the US, so invade! That way, maybe we can start shipping jobs there too!

3) There are a lot of Asian Americans and they vote. There are far fewer Iraqis and Afghans, so who cares? Heck, we'll spend money to set up elections for them, and let them vote here in the US for leaders back home! (we did that already)

According to the above rules, China is safe, and to a lesser extent, so is North Korea. Iran might be in some trouble, but if I was in Lesotho, I would be very nervous right about now....

Your basic question lacks any understanding of history or context. We have no reason to invade China nor could if we wanted too. We are competitors with China, not realy enemies. Also China of 2006 is not the China under Mao. In fact they don't even talk about Mao much in China today. Again, stop the trolling......

Why not?Who are we anyway?I hope you're not from Wales,because if you are then you have little chance of making a successful invasion.Now if you're from Russia you'd stand more chance of success.But why stop at China,your beef seems to be that they're not democratic,they have big weapons,and they have invaded(which only has 1 "e" incidently) neighboring countries?Why don't we invade America?After all,they're the ones who seem to be causing all the wars on the international stage

I see you have given in to the democratic parties propaganda. At the time we went to war many many democrats bought into the same thinking.
So a better way to put your question is:
If a country is not a democracy, has WMD's and have invaded another country, should we invade them ?
That's clearly a silly question.. and the answer is clearly "no" that is not enough information taken by itself.

I think you should free yourself from thinking in terms of republicans and democrats and think in terms of good ideas vs bad. Remember the parties themselves are not important.. and no one party has all the answers... so why tie yourself to just one party ?

Has China threatened to USE nuclear power? The US is huge trade partners with China. Over 80% of the products in Wal-Mart come from China. Your logic is messed up. Tune in Fox news, you'll get the correct information.

yeah makes sense, lets go to war with another super power that we rely on heavily economically speaking. Destroy them in what is sure to be a nuclear war and have our own country destroyed at the same time, and draw the rest of the world into the conflict while we are at it. China may have nuclear weapons pointed at us, and have all sorts of human rights violations, but sometimes you just have to accept things to look out for yourself and the people you are responsible for, in this case the American people.

Yeah, why not ? That would be the end of us for sure. Do we ever attack a country that can really defend itself ? We attacked Iraq because their military was a sad joke. Now China on the other hand....They have more people in their military than we have people....Maybe we should start to learn Mandarin ?

No! No! No! We should not invade China ! If the criteria for invasion were as you profess we would also be targeting some of our long time allies .The republican's way of thinking has in fact -helped us -in developing a much closer relationship with China than ever before in history ! China and America are developing a slow but sure relationship that has grown in leaps and bounds these past six+ years. There are no comparrisons, no similarities, and no parallels of China and Iraq , China and North Korea , or China and Iran just to name a few .

China does not preach or practice hate & evil or world dommination ! China does not murder,torture or starve its own people! China does not strap bombs onto their children!China does not circumsize its females nor bury them up to their necks and stone them because they were raped ,molested ,or because they were caught driving a car , or because they ran out of a burning building before covering their face and bodies this includes children-little girls!!! Most of the media never shares this information with us . If you do just a little research you'll find truly horrible facts . Our soldiers are REAL HEROES doing the world a just service! Be proud of them and your country ! Just like you can't compare apples and oranges , you can't compare China with the afore mentioned countries.

Our cultures ,politics, and beliefs differ but,the Chinese people are good ,decent ,intelligent,respectable,and hard working human beings. Very similar to us. If you ever make a Chinese friend you'll find them both loyal and devoted to their relationships. China is and has been a peaceful nation of a peaceful people. Had they not most if not all of the continent would be known as China today. Like us they have aided other countries with their military and yes -we have faced them as an enemy in Korea and Viet Nam . Germany ,Italy ,and Japan were once our enemies as well .

The world is very different today. Much to the credit of President Ronald Reagan and the republican way of thinking that helped bring down the Berlin Wall and aided in the development of the many democratic nations born out of what was the Soviet Union !George Bush Sr & George W. have both continued the work of making the world a better place .


China has been used and abused by much of Europe in the past. Many of its ancient treasures now sit in European museums and private collections around the world. China suffered horrible war crime attrocities at the hands of the Japanese in World War ll . More than 6 million of her people were murdered in cold blood and even more raped and tortured. China has not forgotten the many American volunteers who helped them fight the Japanese. To this day those Americans are remembered and honored .

If you visited China today you might be surprised at the number of American companies partnered with Chinese companies. GM,Chrysler,Ford,McDonalds,Pizza Hut, and Walmart just to name a few . Our sharing of medical knowledge and technology has brought about a new era in China . The people of China are warm ,open ,and friendly to American visitors . They're very interested in western culture and everything American . China is also quickly becoming the world's leader in alternative power/fuel technological solutions.

The winds of change are blowing and I forsee a great future between China and America. Together our two countries can litterally change the world . Genuine peace could become a reality . We could possibly end world hunger. Together our scientists and researchers could repair a great deal of the damage to our world and find the cures to the many diseases and illnesses we suffer today .

None of these ideals are possible as long as there are rouge states with insane leadership that considers death a step up . Who sees nothing wrong with strapping a bomb onto one of their own children and sending them into a crowed resturant, school,or shopping mall to detonate and kill as many as possible. Or ...fly planes into large office buildings killing thousands of innocent people...or blow the planes up over the ocean...

The philosophy of ignore them and they will just go away does not work. We've turned away and pretended it wasn't happening for far too long . Evil grows like a cancer and left unchecked it ravages . Pure and simple .Fanatical Muslim terrorists see none of America or its allies as innocent . They hate every man,woman,and child ! Not all Muslim people believe this way though. Many appreciate America ,our help,and our politics ! This also -you'll probably not hear on your local news. However , it is true !

Think long and hard about your feelings ,the decisions you make, and the ideals you pass along and support. The next attack or bombing may kill you, one of,or many of your family & loved ones,G-D forbid! For a person to survive cancer the cancer must be completely erradicated or put into remission. Sadly, our world has the same conditions.
