I need to make a punch for about 20 people. Items available: O.J. Grapefruit juice, coke, lemonade, wine, vodka, bacardi, tequila, vermouth, whisky, grenadine, apple juice, cointreau, jack, ginger, some other bits & pieces, but nothing too fancy.
Thanks....

OK. Here's my recipe using your ingredients:

3 parts OJ
2 parts Grapefruit
1/2 part Grenadine
1& 1/2 parts Tequilla
1& 1/2 parts Vodka
3/4 part Cointreau

If it's not sweet enough for you, add a little more Grenadine. I'm gonna call it Pony's Punch.

I don't know about punch, but you ahve all of the ingredients for a Tequila sunrise. Pour 4 oz of oj over ice in a tall glass, add 1 oz of tequila, top off GENTLY with some grenadine in a swirl around the top of the glass. As the grenadine falls down in the glass, it looks like a desert sunrise! And VERY tasty!

You don't need a recipe! Just throw a random selection of alcohols into a huge bowl - preferably white wine and then a couple of spirits - and make sure you put plenty of fruit juice in. Use lots of OJ and maybe another type of fruit juice as well. So long as you don't go too heavy on the spirits it will taste good and fruity anyway. And throw in some chopped apples, oranges and grapes to garnish. Yumm!! (What's your address? And what time does party start?...)

Top one sounds good but add in a bottle of coffee liqueur got to have alcohol to make a good punch!
otherwise I sometimes make a nice wine punch, mix together wine, white or red or both, soda water lemonade, a tin of fruit salad and ice, lovely, tastes like a soft drink.

Here is the best punch in the whole universe.

Ice Cream Coffee Punch

Boil 2 cups water
Add: 2 cups sugar
9 tablespoons instant coffee
Mix with 6 quarts of milk (1 gallon and 8 cups)
Add: 6 cups chocolate ice cream
6 cups vanilla ice cream
Mix well with mixer until frothy.
Freeze scoops of remaining ice cream to float in punch to keep it cool and delicious.

We had this at my wedding. My husband is obsessed with it.

Soak some raisins in a cup of Bacardi overnight. Leave them in and add a can of peaches or apricots. (Any fruit will do). Add two bottles of wine (both the same colour, don't mix red and white) and top up with lemonade.

It tastes harmless but is quite potent. When I made this in my student days, we called it daughter's ruin.

Seems like a pretty good recipe you listed in your question, (would maybe skip the Tequila though as it's strong taste will overpower the punch) chuck in a couple of bits of orange and a ladle and you're in business.

I have been to parties that serve vanilla ice cream and
ginger ale/with a little fruit punch, you can make it as
thick/thin as you think guests might prefer it.

My favorite is:
OJ
lemonade
Squirt
and orange sherbet floating on top

Or just try mixing all you have together. You can't really go wrong with the ingredients you have most go together well.
