I need a name for our new puppy. Description: 2 month old male black lab/golden retriever mix with a white chest and a cropped tail. We'd like the name to be two syllables and not hard to say. We want something sort of unique, not just a people name as well. Example: waffles is a kitten that my friend has and I'd like a name sort of special like that. We've thought about Jackson and calling him Jack or Cooper and calling him Coop even though both of those are people names. Any suggestions??

Jack is the coolest name. It's given to coolest characters like in the Repairman Jack series (book) and to Jack Bauer on 24 (tv). I named my grey JACK. ITS COOL!

Also, consider shows you like. Lucy, Godfather, Frodo, Gandolf..or places..Tex, Roma..or even foods...Cookie, Mr Chips...I had a dog named Mr Beans. :)

Actually the two you picked Jack, and Cooper are my favorites for male dogs. Duncan, and Sam are good too. Tuff decision!!

On petfinder.com there is a list of Black Labrador Retriever dogs with their names. Wouldn't let me search for a mix, but there are a few pages you could look at.
