...we were talking about veins and Varicose veins. My question is how would you know if you had a varicose vein if it wasn't painful or sticking out? Couldnt it just be a visable vein or something......?

Varicose veins arise from blockage and are lumpy and ugly (not as in beauty) compared to normal veins. Veins are visible under the skin; that's normal. Start looking at the back of older women's legs and you'll see examples of varicose veins.

Also, try yahoo images for varicose veins.
