Eat several (5-6) small meals a day...your body will burn calories faster and build your metabolism in a short period of time.
(eat about every 2 hours)
The first 8-10 pounds you shed is water.
Meal suggestions:
piece of fruit
string cheese, summer sausage, cottage
cheese/yogurt
tuna/turkey/ham sandwich (lettuce, tomatoe optional)
soup
raw veggies
boiled eggs
Always eat a good dinner...meat, potatoes/pasta/rice, veggie...your body needs carbs, protein and vitamins to stay healthy
Drink plenty of water
Drink milk or juice/water with every meal (no soda pop)
Stay away from munchies, fried & fatty foods.
Cardio exercise is great, but most people don't continue for an extended period, do "daily" simple exercise like walking/hiking, biking are low impact, play games like basketball, baseball, or volleyball, they will help to lose weight, tone your body, make new friends and you'll have fun doing it.

do some weight lifting a couple of days a week and some cardio. Try to do atleast 30 minutes a day and you will see a big difference. Also eating right and taking a multivitamin each day.
You won't notice any difference for about a month and at first you will be a little more tired because your body is doing something new, but in time you will start looking better and feeling a whole lot better.

All forms of exercise can make you feel better, thanks to the ‘endorphin rush’ it produces.
The only known natural method to shed fat (not water, not muscle) – is cardiovascular exercise. Join an aerobics class, learn from videos – or like me, make up your own moves. Or take long, brisk walks. Three or more times a week.
Muscle is the only material in your body that you can ‘shape’, or ‘tone’. You can choose either free-hand exercises, or use dumbbells or gym weight machines.
Some free-hand exercises: pushups (chest; shoulders, triceps), chin-ups (back, shoulders, biceps), squats (thighs), calve raises.
Notes: No need for equipment (except chin-up bar). Work a different muscle group every two days, but don’t repeat the same muscle group more than twice a week.
Some exercises with weights: Bench press (chest; shoulders; triceps); front lat pulldown (the entire back; biceps); shoulder press (the entire shoulders); squats (thighs, lower back); calve raises.
Notes: Enables you to develop and shape your muscles fully and specifically. All machine exercises can be done instead with dumbbells. I didn’t list dumbbell exercises because some positions aren't so easy to learn. Work a different muscle group every two or three days, but don’t repeat the same muscle group more than once a week.
You should notice better muscle shape in four to eight weeks. For tips, plans and diet, it’s best to check out fitness mags to get the most creative ideas.

ive heard that cleaning is brill it burns off soo much calories and would also tone you up. like washing ur car if you drive or washing ur mum and dads car dont forget to get the money at the end of it lol! failing that a brisk 15 minute walk a day is also good. and any other exercises and lifting weights too. but not too heavy you dont want to look like a he/she.

Do some cardiovascular like an eliptical or stationary bike for about 30 minutes a day. Make sure you work up a sweat. Swimming is good for toning up. I tread water for about 30 minutes. It works my arms. You can use nautilis equipment or just hand weights for toning up your upper body.

Walking is a good method to begin with. See the article linked below. Using small hand weights during the walk will increase the amount of calories burned.

Exercise every other day....doing aerobic exercises such as running, swimming, biking, etc...
Drink plenty plenty of water.
You could also throw in some weight exercises as well, but don't use too big of weights - just something to weigh you down as you do normal aerobics or lifting.

Tip of the day when you go shopping to the supermarket in your car park as far away as possible so you have to walk further and push the trolley longer this will help with the exercise.

i can not jump to the assumption of the amount you eat like many do on here and say "eat less" because it is mean and for all they no you could have a low metabolic rate, there for only thing to do is, jog 20 mins a day, try swimming 2-3 times a week, and do a number of crunches a day that is achieveable yet poses a slight challenge. good luck
