And that most countries in the Middle East were Christian before they were captured by the Muslims?

So many ppl just believe the modern fads.
How can they understand that Christian men in Europe left their families and loved ones to help their brothers in the Middle East?

I didn't state that each Crusader was a Saint. But I do thank God that the Muslims did not capture Europe,
Then the US would be yet another Islamic county.

Christian due to the fact the Catholic Church took it over after the fall of Rome. It wasn't peaceful by any standards to begin with. But you are right, the Crusades started out as a defense against Muslim (and other) invasion, as they were seeking to gain the Holy Land (which belongs to the Jews, not the Christians). But it didn't remain a defense... as the Muslims of that time were not a well-oiled machine/army. They were then, as they are now, a tribal people who attacked more in skirmishes rather than fighting an all out war.
If you read the historical, eyewitness documents, you will see it later turned into a blood bath for the Christian Warriors of the Catholic Church... "and the bodies and blood were as high as the shoulders of the horses the Christian Soldiers rode on." They practically descimated the desert people, even after they quit fighting for the Holy Land.

I think you had better guess again about the role and conduct of the Crusaders in the middle east. I saw an American documentary a few years ago that put the skids on the Crusaders and their conduct. Nothing is ever 100 percent good. There are many skeletons in the closet. The good guy and the bad guy only works out in westerns.

we could no longer overlook that it substitute into the Muslims who first invaded Europe, and the Crusaders took back what were conquered via the Muslims, and then attacked the middle East. That aside, Jesus Christ by no potential sanctioned a "holy war" He mentioned that His kingdom substitute into no longer of this worldwide, and that if it have been He would have a militia. The Crusades have been a twisting of Scripture, in an attempt to learn money. in assessment to the Qur'an which teaches war on "infidels" we could no longer confuse the two. Christians admit that the Crusades weren't Biblically sanctioned, nor have been they the choose of God, yet have been in reality the choose of the Catholic Church Papacy. Muslims on the different hand can not admit that Allah does no longer command them to strike the enemies of Islam.

Some of what you say is true, and some is false. Every middle east country except Saudi Arabia still has Christians. Many Americans are converting to Islam, without any force or cooercion. You need to understand, unless you are brainwashed early, it is hard to believe that some man was in fact god who died for your sins.

His apostles did not believe him and abandoned him, but they saw him raise from the dead, so then they believed him.... but, YOU have to believe in all this without seeing anyone come alive, or you go to hell forever!!

And...some people do believe all that, and it is fine. In contrast, if you teach that there Only One True God, who did not come down as a man, nor did he die, nor was he raised alive, but sent an ordinary man to teach his nation about it.

This ordinary man did manage to turn his entire nation to his view, when most people can not even turn their own teens to their view point. This ordinary man also claimed he had the support of this One God, and eventually this ordinary man did become the fountainhead of many empires and has equal number of converts as the man who came down as God, and all this ordinary man wants people to believe is he is a servant of God and a messenger.

What do you think is more reasonable?

You need to also learn that the battle of Muta took place in 630AD in which a Christian army of 100,000 soldiers massacred 2000 out of 3000 Muslims while the Prophet was still alive, which was the initiation of the battle. These 3000 men had gone to form contracts with fellow Arab tribes, and had no intention of fighting the Christians.

Later, those who killed the Muslims were subdued, and Jerusalem was taken without a fight by the Muslims. But there was never a blood bath of the Christians as it happened for the Muslims and Jews during the crusades.

Learn about the battle of Muta. THAT was the first time Christians and Muslims fought and it was a large Christian army attacked Muslims.

Before then Muslims saw Christians as friends and there was no conflict with the Christians.

Even after centuries of Muslim rule, Christian Churches are in tact, many Christians live in Jerusalem and have their own designated quarters and have lived in peace in most Muslim lands, whereas Muslims were not allowed to live in Europe and many were forced to convert or die until after the Enlightenment.

BE FAIR!!

oh really and how exactly did you screw that up?
Lies, and evil deceit are you an agent for The Prince of Lies? Are you on a Crusade against truth?

The Crusades were a series of military campaigns waged in the name of Christendom and usually sanctioned by the Pope They were of a religious character, combining pilgrimage with military warfare. When originally conceptualized, the aim was to recapture Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the Muslims - who BTW consider the city holy also and probably thought they were defending it against Christendom.

So your subtle lies play on pieces of truth. Just like Satan.

The Crusades according to facts and european books was started by Pope Urban not by Muslims. He called people to take the holy land. As for what happened whent he Muslim captured the holy lands, it was a tit for tat response when Heraclius attacked the Islamic Empire first. Because of that, the I.E. responded.

Contrary to the revisionist history which most people seem to believe, the Mideast was in fact mostly Christian. Moslems were trying to take over Europe as well, but were turned back, except for Spain, which they ruled until 1492.

C'mon people, read your history books. Or find some that tell the truth.
