Here is the recipe - try increasing the flour to 3 cups and whipping the butter - even lighter tasting! I have attached a conversion chart under the reipe for you. Hang on to it for other recipes you might find - I know how you feel, because in Canada we use metric too, although most of us have measuring equipment that lists both.

Well, to be sure it won't be a dark or very chocolaty brownie, but here's a good recipe for a "blondie" and putting chocolate chips in it will add some "brownie" to it! 1 1/2 sticks of butter or margarine 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 2 cups of flour 1tsp. baking soda 1/2tsp. salt about 2 cups of chocolate chips(or, for a 'true' blondie, butterscotch or white chocolate chips) Heat oven to 350, grease 13X9X2inch pan. Beat butter and sugar till creamy. Add eggs, beat well. Add everything but the chips and bled well. Stir in chips. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely then cut into bars. Hope this helps!
