well condsidering this "God" probably isn't that king like....and doesn't sit on a throne, because that is a concept of humans.
Probably you would just have to believe you already have this "throne" but be worried, you shall be smitted.

You'd need a big army, of course, and they'd need to be faithful to you and your cause. You'd need weapons, vehicles, aircraft and, of course, a fortress to plan your attack from. You'd need warriors, spies, magicians, scientists and workers. You'd need whole worlds on your side, but even then your enterprise is doomed without the subtle knife.
