A holy life is a Christ-centered life. A religious life is a me-centered life in the name of God. Holiness and religion do not mix. Holiness is righteous according to God's plan. Religion is holiness according to man's plan. Another expression for religion is Christless Christianity, which is what is becoming popular today and what will be the religion of the Antichrist.

Living the Holy life is livng for God and doing His work here on earth. Such as helping to spread His word, doing what you can for those in need, attending the body of Chrsit services to keep your faith strong and learnmore to help others.
Living a religious life is gong to a building every week to show that you have been there.(church) Church is actually the body of believers not a building.

Holy means separate/apart.
To live a religious life is to follow the tenets of a religion, i.e. love your neighbor.

you are making a descision to become
a religious Nuns & priest do this
When you take upon yourself the grace of holiness
you are mastering perfection within yourself

Living a holy life, is one which is pleasing and acceptable to God, through faith in Jesus Christ.
A religious life is lived by one who seeks to do good, but tries to do it in their own strength.
The Bible says that all our righteousness is as filthy rags.
It is by grace we are saved through faith, not of works lest any man should boast.
